Oil Change......UUUUUUGH!!!!!

Just got finished. Am I the only person who can't stand this task on this truck? The filter always gives me hell. Does anyone have any quick tips for next time? Never mind. Next time, someone else will do it....lol

Not bad on mine, in fact, -it's the easiest vehicle to change the oil on that I've ever owned.

Uncle Bill's Famous (?) Oil Change Trick.
Guaranteed (?) not to spill.

1. Gently loosen oil filter about 1/2 to 3/4 turn, just loose enough to turn by hand.
2. Cover oil filter with a Zip-Loc bag (other non leaking plastic bags will work in a pinch).
3. Gently remove filter.

This has worked on so many different vehicles that I have worked on over the last 35 years (I know, I'm an old geezer ) that I should have patented it and made money off of it.

Yea, it's a pain, but not that bad after the first couple times. Or just do the filter relocation like Jbrew has.
I thought about doing it, but scared some punk kids would walk by, and unscrew it, just to be punks.

Yea, that's factory. I thought I might run over something someday and knock it off of there, but, - knock on wood..

Wow, didn't know that was factory. I've seen kits to relocate it, figured that was it.
Thats awesome, wonder why Ford decided to move it to such an awkward location.

Wait, nevermind, OP says it all in his first post:

Are you kidding?!?! I love changing the oil on my f150. By far the most accessable vehicle to get to filter, etc. Try changing it on a Cavalier or other mid-size/compact car, you will spend more time getting the filter off/on than anything else, along with spilling oil EVERYWHERE!
Do you not have the oil filter relocation kit on ?
