My Gotts mod 2.0

so i decided i was going to do the "Gotts Mod", with my PVC pipe in hand i got to work. but i was looking at where the intake was getting all of its air and i realized that because its in the wheel well, all it was doing is sucking the dirt that the front left tire is making. that doesn't seem right to me. unless you have a street truck, it shouldn't be there. so i decided to do this! I capped off the hole and zip tied it down. i think its a better idea. (if you drive on a dirt road a lot)

Cheers!

True. But its a balance between dirty cold air and clean hot air.

what if you bought a filter and cut it to the size you need and made it so it goes through the filter wall before going in.. IDK if that would help or hurt it tho or how hard it would be to make that

Theres not that much dirt or dust that just piles up in there. No different at all compared to any other area near the grill, under the truck, any other wells etc that wont suck up the same amount of dust.

I just did the gotts mod 2 days ago. It cant hurt anything, I can't say theres a huge difference but throttle response is seems to be a bit more noticeable.

The inner fender blocks pretty much everything that the wheel could fling up into the air box.

Agreed, plus if you are driving down a dusty road the dust travels down the length of the truck, not up into the fender well.
