EGR cleaning

so i'm gonna clean the EGR and was wondering what i should use to clean the valve and the line? just regular parts cleaner?

Noway to clean that valve, -you'll smoke the diaphragm.

sorry, i meant where it hooks to the throttle body...

i cleaned the idle air control valve and i have also cleaned the throttle body... but i haven't cleaned the port to the EGR... i can't remember if it connects to the elbow or the throttle body but i know it is dirty...

anybody got that long EGR bolt they wanna sell? lol... i broke it of in the elbow... hoping i can get the rest of the bolt out... its got some penitrating oil on it now and waiting for that to soak up...

Did you suck test it first? That's what you do. You suck test the valve while the trucks idling. If your idle deflects then your port is clear. If nothing happens, then it's dirty or plugged.

You pull the green line and plug a scrap piece of hose in it's place and suck on that like your drinking a milk shake while she's idling.
