97 F150 4x4 problems
97 F150 4x4, 5 speed,4.6. Had truck left in 4 wheel hi this winter due to all the snow we had out here. Put truck in 2 wheel drive and now can not move the short shift at all. I had this problem before and took it to a trans shop and it was fixed in less than a half hour. The guy did not even put it on the rack. He got under and took something off the front axel and sprayed it and cleaned it up and truck was fine. Maby someone here can save me some money by telling me what you think he took off and cleaned up to make it work again. Also can someone here explain to me how this short 4wd shift works when you move it. Is it linkage.vacume,electric ????? Maby someone has some pics. thanks
