Disable parameter lighting
Anyone with 97-03 disabled the parameter lighting? Figure I would ask here first rather than going to Ford.

Do you mean illuminated entry?

If so, there doesn't appear to be any way to disable it (manual page 83).

Well, the 03s don't even have perimeter lighting as an option (in the manual anyway).

Thats weird, because my truck definately has it. I dont want to run out my HID bulbs when it flashes when locked.
