4 wd problem

Recently tried to activate my 4wd and had nothing. I replaced the electric shift motor on the transfer case (which was bad)and now I got the front drive shaft spinning. The indicator light on the dash works and so does the transfer case from 2wd all the way to 4lo. I jacked up the truck and engaged the 4wd and put it in drive shouldnt one front and one rear wheel be spinning? Am I missing a vacuum line or an actuater on the front diff? the 4 wd hasn't been engaged in about 4 or 5 months. Any help appreciated

You need to check the vacuum system. There are 2 vacuum solenoids up by the battery the lines up there get holes in them. Theres a detailed run down of it over in the drive train section. Use the search a haynes or chiltons book is good to have to..
