sticky gas peddle ?

1999 with 5.4 gas peddle is starting to get sticky. whats the cure?

Try cleaning the carbon out of the throttle body. That is what typically casues the sticking feeling you are talking about.

agreed. did it with both my trucks and it made the pedal like new again.

stick fix

I had the same issue with my 99 Expy...but mine wasn't the T/B it was the throttle cable streching..the black end of the cable (outside part) was catching the end of the cable housing, (inside part) and when I went to pust the gas it was butting ends and would catch, then pop over and work making the truck JUMP on take off. I fixed it by taking a file and took off the lip so that they slid over easy. Other than that, you have to buy another cable... 26.00 at AutoZone!
