Hello All
I have a 03 F150 Supercrew 4.6L 120k im having some intermmitent starting problems cranks but no go. Theft light blinks rapidly odometer reads------
after several tries it will fire up and may not happen again for several days. The worst part is it will shut down while driving not a good feeling same story ----- on odometer and theft light it also seemed to slip out of gear just before shutting down if that makes any sense. I've tried both my keys no diff from what i've read could be a PATS issue but would that shut my truck down while driving. Could the PCM relay also cause these symptoms? I know it sounds like a short any thoughts?

A bad relay would definitely cause this, I've seen that a few times.

 

Thanks I changed the pcm relay and everything seems normal after a week of driving we'll keep my fingers crossed!
