Expedition Rear Bumper

So I've got a 97 Ext Cab Long Bed that is tan it has the color matched top bumper pap and i wanted the back ones to look cleaner. I picked up a rear bumper off a 99 Expedition its got a one piece bumper bad that is tan opposed to the black two piece on mine. Mine had a dent in it from the previous owner so I decided to buy it and swap it. Now saying the the job was a alot more labor intensive than what i thought. The frame rails are different widths so the inside support of the bumper and brackets don't match. If i would have known this ahead of time I would have just bought a F150 bumpers and swapped just the pads. Saying that it was well worth it cleaned up the rear end a lot and is a very close match to the color of the truck. I was just curious if any one else out there had added one of these bumpers of the pads.

If someone can tell me how to post pics i would love to show the progress of my truck. I've been on the site for a few years but a newbie to picture posting lol

Thanks

The Expeditions have the spare tire crank under the hatch and not part of the bumper, so I'm curious to see what F-150 bumpers look like...

Aha! Looks like the Expedition's crank slot is in a little different spot...

Also old pic:

The hole is between the hatch and the bumper, just to the left of the top left license plate screw.

The Slot is still in the bumper. There is just no hole in the, Bumper pad so I'm going to drill one into it just big enough for the crack to slip in. Basically the Chrome/Metal outer skin of the bumper is the same. All that is different is the inside frame that connect it to the frame, and the upper bumper pad. Which honestly the upper bumper pad would be a easier mod then the whole bumper. But either way it will work I will post some pics up soon. BTW my trucks a 98 not a 97 I've been buying parts lately of so many years I don't know what my own truck is any more. Lol
