Cruise control problem

Hi, I'm having problems with my cruise control. I've had the inline fuse installed. CC worked on 1 way of trip but not on return, I checked the fuse on the harness and it was fine. When I unplugged the harness at the brake booster, there is definitely some brake fluid there.

What should I do now?

I left in unplugged, but want cruise back

Thanks in advance,
Dan

Warning!! May be under recall

Holy rusted sheetmetal Batman!!
I would leave that harness un-connected, and see if your truck is under recall. From your description, sounds like the Brake on off (BOO) switch is leaking. Think the new parts are about $21-22 bucks at the dealer. it includes a new harness as well.
I had the same thing happen to me last year, cruise stopped working. Thanks to all the heads up here on F150 online, I immediately inspected the brake on off switch. Fixed it myself, with a few simple tools.

He already had the recall performed. Ford is finished with "free" work.

You will need to purchase a new SCDS. Might as well buy the kit with the fused harness while you're at it.

The SCDS is the disconnect switch - the one that screws into the master cylinder that the recall harness plugs into. Go to the dealer, they will know exactly what you need. If you talk real nice, they might give it to you. Otherwise, I think list is $26.

Check the recall fused harness and the leaky switch on the master cylinder.
