So my trucks had a bad vacuum leak and running pretty poopie.....So i took it to a shop to get smoke blown through it and i found out it was leaking from the EGR the brake booster and the idle air control valve, so the guy gave me an estimate for that and said he also had to clean a hose out that usually is packed with gunk and that could be clogged and he had to be very careful because he didnt wanna push that gunk into the TB...anyways i bought the egr and am awaiting delievery of the idle air control valve and i also wanna clean that hose he was talking about.....can anyone help me out with this....maybe like a picture to show me which hose i need to clean? i mean i took the 2 connected to the dpfe and the a couple others...but non of them had anything in it....so can anyone shed some light?

 

He probably meant all the ports that go into the TB like the EGR and Idle Air. Mine were pretty gunky after 120k miles. Just take off the TB and give it a good cleaning.
