Center hub caps falling off

Hi everyone I wanted to know if anyone else is having problems keeping on the center hub caps on their 1999 F150 I have lost all of mine.I have tried to re crimp the spring clips that attach to the wheel lugs, used copper wire around the clips to make them tighter and still lost them all I was thinking to drill and tap the aluminum rim and secure the cap to the rim with a small screw I wanted to get some options' on that or any other ideas as how to keep them on thanks has anyone else had this problem????

They should stay on pretty good. Both my stock caps and the caps on my Expy wheels have survived numerous off-road trips. The clips on the caps should sit in a groove on the lug nuts, which holds them on (assuming the clips aren't bent too bad). Make sure you get the caps made for your wheels, as they're not all interchangeable.

I check the cap they are the right ones and are all new, but I did notice that the lugs nuts have a lot of play in them. The lug nut is attached to a washer that moves freely from the lug nut. It seem like it is stretched out from the washer and the gap in which the center cap's spring clips seats is much smaller than it should be when the lug nut is torque to 150lbs I ordered a new set of lugs from Ford Just to see if in fact' there is a difference between the lug nut and the washer I will post as soon as I receive them

Mine were doing that too on my aftermarkets, I got so irritated I just got some Gorilla (sp?) Glue and went to town on them, haven't lost one since.

Edit: I guess yours cover the lugs though, so that might not be such a great idea, sorry for wasting your time!

No not a waste of time at all belive me I wanted to try the glue but like you said it covers the lug nuts. I think its just a bad design on the 1999 F150
I was even thing to drill a hole into the rim and attach the cap to it with a 10/32 machine screw
