Question Ticking at highway speed

need some help locating a ticking noise. 01 4x4. the tick sounds like a rock in the tire but can only be heard when travelling above 80 kph. Im pretty sure the noise is something turning on the chassis as it is not affected by rpm's. It is most noticible with the windows down and when there is a barrier of sorts to the side of the truck. I can not tell exactly where it comes from but I suspect the drivers front corner. I removed the front driveshaft, no change. the rear u joints are new. I have been crawling all over this thing and im stumped! the tick has been present for the last month with no change, any help would be appreciated. thanks chad.
