Flareside bed

I have a chance to pick up a complete flareside bed for $300. It has slight fiberglass damage on the rear, but nothing that can't be fixed - and the tail lights still fit fine.

Just throwing this out there - do ya'll think my truck would look good with a flareside? Is this a pretty good price?

Here's an almost-current pic of my truck...I'll be going up a little bit in the future (about 3")

Well, imo if it's an upgrade (which I think it is - solely for looks though) then it's not "messing" with it. And the price isn't bad. I've always wanted a flareside too...I just think they look more muscular.

But then again, I am pretty happy with how my truck looks...

No offense 1clean42, but don't you lose bed space with a flare side?Personally I like your truck the way it is, but I don't own it. Does the color match and how much for the fiberglass repair would be the question of is it worth it. If you don't like it.... bolt your old bed back on

Keep it as is! My personal opinion is regular cabs look the best flareside.

Yep - they're both 6.5' beds.

I would say go for it! There are less flareside extended cabs out there...

It will have to be painted. And they should be able to shave it at that time - they didn't charge me any extra last time to shave the emblems.

So this could be something that may not actually get installed for awhile, depending on how much paint costs.

And I'm planning on lifting 3" or so - lift springs and aftermarket control arms. Just enough for the 285/70/17s to not be too stuffed.
