havent really decided yet, Im doing something thats alittle cheaper first. then later i can change it up. But from what i have heard a carbed 302 or 351w uses the same bell housing as the 4.2 so i could realistically install one for fairly cheap.

Tell me about it, got to get different rear leaf springs, these squatted WAY too much. Hell they are on 4" blocks right now. the back should have been 4" higher than the front but the springs sagged alot.

its only sitting on its own weight because i had to get the motor out. Ill be lifting it up again to finish the rest of the welding.

need to weld the passanger side sleeve into the frame, need to cut and weld dom tubing for steering.

Heard there was a budget build 302 that made 400/400 (ballpark) in a magazine. maybe someone else would know what I'm talking about? suppose to be a stroked 302?

either 331 or 347 stroker, the 347 aint a good DD motor b/c the wrist pin is close close to the rings causing pistons to fail prematurely...

interesting read:

i dont think id want to spin more than 4500 revs with them tires! lol

i got a 302 on the side of my house
