well for a temp repair, you can loop the two hoses together in the engine bay that go in and out of the heater core.

next step will be removing dash and replacing heater core, or taking it to a shop

I replaced the heater core in my 97 4.6l about two months ago. Not a fun tear down, lots of screws. Took 10hrs with a friend, (in 3hr sections) and we took our time. If you have any questions feel free to contact me.

i apprectiate both the responses but im not too mechancialy inclined i can change oil and put in and intake system and minor things like that so i dnt think ill be able to do the install but on second thought it gets pretty pricey at a shop i hear especially if its a good shop

I recently replaced my heater core in my 01, and IMO, recommend taking it to a well known shop, preferably someone who knows a good deal about a/c & heating systems.

the dash removal isn't a fun job, and I have heard horror stories about what happens if you misplace anything (very, very small pieces exist).

Hope all goes well though!
