Very true, unless you got a weak batt "like me" and you have a air leak "like I have had more then once"

Where ever you end up mounting them, just make sure you have them angled slightly downward...this way there is no chance of water pooling inside them.

mk well i have an upgraded alternator and a red top optima battery...... however it would be easier to use that auxillary wire that you were talking about.... are you absolutely sure that it was that big red wire that was the accessory wire???? i just dont want to go through all the wires looking for it! hah thanks bigdad!!!!

Yah red, just went out and looked, on the driver side frame rail there is a big bundle. You can use a pin "like for sewing" put that in the wire and then use test light. Also your going to need the relay that my truck had in the clove box when I got it. So test the trailer plug with your key on and make sure you got power. The cover on the plug tells you what wire is what.

Now for the horn wire I tapped into the wire right up front at my stock horns, yellow and black, yellow is the hot.
I can take more pics if you need them?
