Testing a Vacuum leak

Whats the best way to check for a Vacuum leak myself without taking it to a garage? I kinda would rather stay away from spraying starter fluid or anything all over the engine bay if i could...Anyone have any weird or crazy method that can find my leak?

A smoke machine! That coupled with a disco ball and dance dance revolution!!!

No really.. a smoke machine will work but it would require removing each potentially leaking hose and checking them.
