spark plug wire clips

spark plug wire clips

for the life of me i cant figure out how to remove the clips holding the wires in place. whats the trick?!?! i dont want to break them off and be left with free floating wires. so before i snap and destroy them someone please tell me theres an easy way to take those clips off.

If you are talking about the ones on the coil pack they are a bugger. You can squeeze the clips as tight as you can and get one side off at a time, then pry the other. The ones on the actual plug are an outright pain in the a%#. You have to make sure you are pulling up in the direction the plug is . good luck. took me over 2 hrs to do mine. I broke the #4 boot. Took an additional 2 hrs to get the rest of it off. For the first time in my life I was ready to pay someone to do it for me.
