RAP module question

The last night my F-150, '03, was opened by a thief, he tried to pull it off the stereo, ( I was carrying the faceplate, so I guess it would be a useless effort to get a stereo with no faceplate) but he was not able to do so because I attached a steel cable behind the stereo....

I was wondering why the alarm did not work. I locked the door with the remote, the headlamps flashed and the horn chirp., so the system was activated

the truck has installed the RAP module, I can unlock the doors with the remote and make a lot of noise with the panic button, I looked under my dash and I found the white box with a sticker on it, and it says. REMOTE Keyless/ Antitheft
1L3T-16K602-AE, service part 2L3T-15604-AA9,

Hope somebody could tell me if I have to install o remove a ground in the connectors of the module, or if it is the module that works only as a remote keyless system.

thanks a lot for your help,,
