3" body and rim & tire ?

i have a 97 f150 and i am going to put a 3" body lift on it and 33" and i am going to put micky thompson rims on it. and my parents wont let me put any thang bigger on it or i would. i am evetuly going to put a 4 inch suspenshin lift on it soon. i know that much but i dont know what size rim to get or tire brand. but i do know that money is not really a prob and i will do ALOT of muddiing in it. and i want that axles to be as far from the ground as possible.

thanks,
David

Whats the stock wheel size? IIRC the minimum wheel size you can go is a 16". A buddy of mine stayed with the 17's, and had a set of 33" Pro Comps on, and it looked pretty nice. That was also with a body lift.

16x10's and 33's look pretty sweet, you could turn up the bars with the body lift and fit 35's

first i think especially if your gonna be gettin a suspension lift kit, majorly consider 35x12.5s or 38x14.5s way better for your purpose. wheels.. i think 15x10 be the best. definately 15" wheels. just the right size wheel for a 33. makes the tire look great. ya dont want to go no bigger than that wheelwise until you start runnin 40s or bigger. and i do a hella lot a muddin too. if money aint a problem i cant beginnnnn to tell you how much you should get a set of detroit lockers. do your self HUGE HUGE favor and look into gettin some lockers. when you hit the hole and only two wheels are spinnin and your stuck and ya look at the dash and its already in 4x4..not good.

He can't use 15 inch wheels because they won't fit over the brakes. That's why no one makes a 15 inch wheel with our bolt pattern.

hmm. good point there. my bud runs 15s with 33s on a 70s ford. didnt really take the brakes into account there.

but still think a 15" wheel looks best on a 33. more rubber and less metal. makes it look like a more meaty tire

33's still look good on a 16", lots of rubber not like running a 20" rim. I like how mine looks under my truck
