1997 Tail Light Problems

I have a 97' f-150 4x4 (4.6) XLT with day time running lights. A week ago my right turn signal would not work "ONLY" when I turned on my lights for night driving>>>daytime worked fine.. Then my cruise control stopped working also. Now they both work fine when I have the night driving lights on but I "NOW LONGER HAVE TAIL LIGHTS". I have checked all fuses inside the truck that can be visually seen and they seem to be fine.. I am lost and not sure what to do in light of this series of events. ( i also did move the steering column up and down on the very first night in the garage and it did work fine after acouple movements) but was messed up again the next day and now has gotten worse. Help please!!!!

Check your ground for the brake lamps.

I checked the ground inside the light housing, checked all fuses, changed the bulbs, and checked the wires inside the steering column..Its still not working..
