Tool to trim bumper for BIG tires???

Tool to trim bumper for BIG tires???

anyone got any before or after pics of there bumpers the had to trim off for bigger tires... and what tool did you use? Im bout to put on 305/70r16 nitto mud grapplers on 16x10 M/T classic 2's with like 4" of BS so i know ill need to trim it. Thanks

If you crank the torsion bars to level the truck then you wont be cutting much. The 4" of backspacing will cause issues, unless you plan on going higher later on id go with a 4.5" Of backspacing.

I used a hack saw to cut mine, dont have any close up pictures. But you can use a sawzall too. All you should need to cut is the VERY bottom plastic piece.

There 4 7/16" of BS to be exact.. with 295/75 all that had to be done was trim the bumper. With 305/70 im hoping trimming will take away rubbing for now b/c i do plan on doing the torsion crank but not right this second... money is tight lol

I used a Dremel as well......i had to cut the flares and the valance, but you should be good with just the valance.

I've got 305s on 16x10s...I got t bar keys and I used a 3" cut off wheel with my air compressor and took off a good 3" and the inside lip off my molded factory ford mudflaps and threw the bracket out and drilled a hole through it and through the inner fender and zip tied it...its just plastic..

all you need to turn your t bars is a wrench......

Here is a picture of my truck with 305/65/17 on 17x10 ..its on stock wheels now and its dark out, I can get some trim shots tmrw maybe if your still interested.
