Wheels from a 2005 F150 fit my 2001?

I'm looking to get a second set of wheels and tires so that I can save the wear and tear on my off road tires.

I found good deal on a set of 17" wheels off of an '05 and was wondering if there are backspacing issues or anything like that will prevent these wheels from fitting on my truck?

They won't work unless you get an adapter of some sort. The bolt patterns are different.

97'-03' (and 04' Heritage) bolt pattern is 5X135mm.

04' - 08' F-150's bolt pattern is 6X135mm.

Check the classified section on this site. I think I have seen a few sets of oem wheels for sale that fit our trucks.

No, they won't fit. Two different bolt patterns.

Sucks cause my local craigslist is flooded with 04+ wheels/tires and no 97-03 sets.
