bench seat replacement question

So I have read the threads, at least some of them, about replaceing the bench seat in a 99 XL with a 40/60 split bench. I have a question. In one thread, it was mentioned that the seat from an extended cab would not bolt into a regular cab. Can anyone confirm this and if so, tell me how difficult it will be to make it fit?

Thanks

Robert

I replaced the bench w/ a 60/40 in my '99 XL ... best thing I ever did!

I got the seats on ebay, and I'm pretty sure they came from an extended cab. After cutting the floor mat and tapping a few existing holes, the seats bolted right in. I'm not a 100% sure, but I don't think there is a difference between the extended/reg cab seats (if there is I got very lucky when I bought my seats!)

I know of at least one difference.....the 40/60 seat I am looking at has seat belts integrated into the seat.

I put the other style of 60/40 seats in ...

You might be right about the seats w/ the integrated belts. I'm not sure I've ever seen them in a reg cab.
