Should I be peeved? -Transdapt Oil Relocation Kit-

I want to install a remote oil filter kit on my '03 XLT 4.6L 4x4.
I found the Transdapt kits.
They look very clean, with good hoses and swivel connectors to make the install go easier.
I contacted their tech support via email, gave them my truck info,
told them the current filter I use (FL820S) and asked which kit to get.
KIT part # '1127' was their reply.
So, I went to Summit Racing, called them, and asked which kit I needed,
to check/ make sure they recommend the same kit, 1127... So I ordered it.

I opened the box today, cut out the parts from the vacuum sealed package.
Inspected parts while as I read the directions.
Found some minute chunks of casting left in the o-ring groove.
Cleaned them up a bit.
Then took my FL820S and a threaded nipple (from the kit, it goes in the remote base).
They should screw together, correct?
The threaded nipple is the WRONG THREAD SIZE.
The nipple is smaller than the FL820S threads. --WTF--
Did I miss something.
Anyone have answers?
SHOULD I BE PEEVED AT TRANSDAPT AND/OR SUMMIT?
Maybe TRANSDAPT possibly put the wrong thd fitting in the kit?

I may call the local Transdapt dealer and see what they say.
Maybe they have something or can help me out.

Well, my venting's done, hopefully I can get this resolved soon.
Why do even the simplest of things need to get stretched out / become so complicated?
SHOULD I BE PEEVED AT TRANSDAPT AND/OR SUMMIT?

That kit takes a FL1A filter, not a FL820S. Cool off and go get the right filter.

Notes Uses Ford style oil filters with 3/4-16 in. thread.

Yah I was thinking the same thing, if I was gonna buy Relocation Kit the last thing I would want is it using that little filter. My wifes V6 takes a filter 2x bigger.
Just hope that FL1A is bigger....

My Mach I uses the fl1a. Its nearly twice as big as the FL 820. I'd just worry about the design of the thing the antidrain back. I dont know if it as good and all. I'd find out about that.

The FL1A is an excellent filter with a good antidrainback. Ford has been using that style filter for 50 years.
