there is a lot of talk about the pcv hose replacement because the elbow cracks.. but i was wondering, do you have to replace it with the plastic one that the truck comes with.. or can you just replace it with some rubber line??seems like it would be alot cheaper..

 

Sure. Take it off and go to the help section at autozone or oriellys. Match it up with a similar piece..

 

did you replace with regular hose? how did it work?

 

Rubber can suck shut I believe ? Most Emission lines will anyway, if you substitute. I tried it way back when.
