so i bought a grill guard on craigslist from a guy who said it was off an 01 f150 unfortunatly i assumed he knew what he was talking about and didnt test fit it b/c i seen his truck was an 01 like mine anyways i sanded and painted and it came out great but when i went to install it i realized it must be for a 97 98 with the other bumber style then mine so i was wondering if anyone ever altered the bumber to fit this grill guard i will take a side pic of the grill guard tomorrow

 

why not try to trade someone for the correct red neck headlight cover

thats the same one i have. I know the bumpers differ slightly but it couldnt be that much.

 

the one i have is shped for the bumber of a 97 i can make it fit but idk if it will look stupid ill also have to cut my valence

 

can you get a side pick? my light bar is for a 99-03 f150 but i made it work and you cant tell the difference.

 

Where is it hitting? That looks just like mine. After I took my tow hooks off, the grill guard still rubbed and wouldn't fit in the holes until I trimmed most of the hole out. You can't tell by looking at it b/c I didn't change the size/shape of the hole, just trimmed away most of the plastic that is on the inside of the hole.
