03' F150 Anti-Theft flashing - won't start
03' F150. Yesterday the truck just die at red light and the anti-theft ligth start blinking and truck cranking but no fire then I turn the key from off to on about 5 time then the Anti-theft light stop blinking and the truck run again. Today I did use a diferrent keys and it dose the same think again. What would go wrong with it? Do I have to get it to Reprogram or Reset the PCM or PATs and all the keys? Or any think I would look for before I take to dealer to check it out.
Thank you.
Thank you.
I have an 03 f150 that would start when it wanted to. Theft would flash and odometer would give dashes when trying to start. Than out out of the blue you would turn the key and the odometer would read normal and it would start. I swapped the PCM and fuel pump relays as mentioned and now it is fine. I will be purchasing new relays tomorrow. Thanks for the help!
Thanks to all in this thread
I signed up to this forum to say thank you to the guys involved in this thread, especially 'trucee' for the last reply. I had exactly the same problem, my F150 2001 would occasionally turn over and over, but not start. Then when I got stuck in town and had to get home via public transport, the mechanic went out and it started first time. 2 weeks later (today), I tried it in my drive and it would just turn over and over again with the same problem. Spent all day trying to figure out what was wrong, was fuel getting through? was it the starter? Had some pipe dis-connected? Was the fuel pump buggered? Then I came on-line read the posts of you guys......went out and bought 2 new relays, 1 for PCM and 1 for Fuel Pump, she started straight up - problem solved :-) So THANK YOU.
One very happy F150 owner!

It's the PCM relay that can be responsible for this specific symptom but not the fuel pump relay.

I know this is an old thread, but I figured I'd chime in.
I had to send my computer to a company to be refurbished ($200) and then have a new key cut/chipped for $150. Worked out.
Took it to Ford to begin with and they were quoting me over $1,200 to have it fixed.
