If i leave the lights in auto or off during the day the radio wont work, if its night when the headlights pop on or if i turn them on at any time the radio works...I also noticed the 1 touch window stopped working...00 f150 lariat scab/5.4/auto/4x4 I've got a sony xplod stereo....I'm so confused...just randomly started yesterday after I did my visor lights. help!!!!

 

I can't figure it out...I looked it all over today, pulled the radio out, checked all the fuses......everythings fine, even dis connected the visor

 

also checked the window switch, that was just loose where it hooks to the harness...so thats fixed, but the radio is baffeling me. could this be somethinmg to do with the GEM module??

 

Sounds like you are using the wrong power wire. You must be using the power wire for the lights going to the radio instead of the main power wire. But I did just wake up. maybe I'm not comprehending what you said.

 

I know someone that just bought a sony like yours only the radio worked. would read a cd but no audio..took it back exchanged it new one worked fine...wired the same way.

had it since august 08. It turned out the illumination wires were mixed up, fix those, then the visor harness was chaffing in the a pillar shorting everything out...unhooked it for now...replacing the in cab portion next day off...sucks I just took that visor off too!!!
