97 f150 cruise control problem

i have a 97 4.6 4x4 that the cruise wont work on. i have checked the fuses and was wondering if anyone has any ideas

Has the recall been done on it? Originally the first part was to deactivate the cruise until they could put the fuseable link on.

If the recall has been done, it is still common for the deactivator switch to fail.

Depending on the failure mode, it may also take out the fuse in the add-on harness.
