Said goodbye to an old friend.

Well, I officially said goodbye to my 2002 F150 XLT Sport. I didn't think it would be so difficult but the time had come. The extended cab was just not cutting it for the baby and the wife since the baby seat wouldn't fit in the back.

She served me well for 95K miles. I spent less than $500 on un-scheduled maintenance in the entire time I owned the vehicle.

She was replaced with a 2003 Ford Explorer which had 42K miles.

Damn I miss my truck.

damn. sucks you had to get rid of it. was it really that tight in the SCab? my wife is expecting our 1st child & that was a concern. but since i sold my lightning & miata & got a 4 door accord, i am hoping it's not going to be an issue since i wont be driving the truck everyday.

That sucks man, I'm surprised a car seat wouldn't fit. I've had a few of them in my truck from time to time for nieces and nephews. It would have been nicer if our back seats had a slight slope on them, rather then a just about perfect 90 degree bend at the bench and seat. Love my 02' XLT Sport!

I feel your pain, Stitches is looking at a new home because a crew cab diesel would be much easier with having a 2 yr old, plus it would have the axles i want already.

But its hard to let go of the truck i've been building, and that skinny pedal never gets old in that truck.
