what do you guys reccomend for shocks? Mine are original with 145k miles and are hating me. They're complete junk. I've got the t bars turned up, does this mean I should get shocks made for a lift? how much bigger is a shock made for a 6" lift? is this way too big? How high over stock can you go with stock shocks? I plan to add some springs to the back. I can get 4 hydro skyjacker 7k series from summit with poly bushings for 160 shipped. Is this a good choice? basic gabriel's aren't much less then that....or they're damn close after tax.

 

You need OEM replacement length. Your best bet is Bilstiens, but just about anything will be an improvement over OEM.

Another vote for bilstein. Only b/c thats what I changed mine out with. Ride is much improved. I got mine back when bilstein was running a buy 3 get 1 free deal. I don't think thats still running. But I'd buy from shockwarehouse.com. Their prices are the best I could find since you can get a 10% discount there.
