Lightning heads will give the front a more "rounded" look with the way they are designed.

Just imagine these chrome, instead of black......

Anything that's not stock is an improvement.
PTM your valance and bumper cap if the stock appearance is holding you back.
This with the new lights behind the grill will work nicely. IMO

I always liked the clear Lightning heads, but saw these smoked ones and was sold:

The Lightning taillights were a bit ricey for my tastes but is growing on me.

The more I see the Lightning heads, the better I like them. My grill lights look a little out of place w/ the wedge shaped stock lights ... I'm thinking the round shape of the Lightning heads will tie them in nicely.

PTM of the valance is not really an option as I'm often on desert dirt roads which usually consist of two wheel tracks w/ 2' high stiff brush between them. My valance has numerous deep scratches on it from the brush ... I just don't think the paint would last (although I do like the look of PTM pad/valance w/ chrome bumper).

Thanks again for all the pics/comments

Oh, didn't know there was a difference. My fault.. What's the difference?

EDIT: Just looked on page one and saw the STX lights that are supposedly just like the Harley heads? I like my Lightning headlights better anyhow.

no L headlights are great, I'm going to do the L head/tail swap when I get my headers on and my ext. cab door fixed.

These ebay Lightning replicas look good on awalkinrain's truck. They will look even better after she gets the grille and bumper painted red.
