Hi Folks
On the outside of my truck between the windshild glass and the plastic
Finned thing that the Wipers go through there is a two piece rubber strip
that runs across (It is deformed and loose, rain comes in by my E brake
no big deal...Now it comes in Dead center and runs down behind the radio etc. and I here a clicking sound like I put the key in the ignition and everything starts firing up "vvvvvv" .Till finally it would only turn over but never start) I popped the cover off on the Trans hump / carpet and put afan on it and she started about 3 hours later)

What is the name of that rubber strip?
(If thats even where the water is coming in from)!

Most likely it's the windshield adhesive leaking and wil either need to be resealed or replaced. It's fairly common when they start showing their age. If your in a rain prone area I'd get it fixed asap as the water likes to make it's way into the gem/sjb and play hell with your electronics.
