Electrical/Altinator

If anyone can give me some input it would be great. While driving my lights get bright then dim. The altinator guage will go from aprox 14 volts to well above 18. Back and forth back and forth. Also when the voltage gets high my windows wont roll down and the dome light wont come on. Where should i start on this problem? Is my truck possesed?

Go over to Autozone and get your battery and alternator tested. It's a free service, they do it in the vehicle.

So does anyone have any proof that a throttle body spacer really improves gas milage and horse power. I was thinking of adding one now that i have my altinator fixed and the truck is running smoother. I added a K and N air filter. What are some more ideas to ad horspower to my 4.6? My last f-150 was a 5.4 and would snap your neck. Now i have a 4x4 extended cab and want to beef up my 4.6. should I start looking for a 5.4 or can I squeeze some juice out of the engine I have?

You just threadjacked yourself

No throttle body spacers are best used as paper weights.

Yes, TB spacers do make noise. However, they do absolutely nothing else good unless you are using nitrous.

Without spending more than it's worth, you're not going to get more power out of that engine. IMO
