GLC... 0W20 oil?

I recall I use 5W20, FOMOCO oil, synth blend.
I think the 0W20 is a lighter viscosity, correct?
Besides making the engine work less during the winter,
what would it do / possibly affect the engine in any way?
Its that 0W20 readily available by FOMOCO?
I'm hesitant, based on the fact I'm not educated on the facts / differences.
Should this be a new thread??

It's lighter than 5W20 at low temperatures. Motorcraft does not offer it.

This meets the applicable Ford specs.

The most expensive washer fluid ever.

Everytime I hit the fluid to clean the windows my buddies would be crawling onto the hood of my truck to catch it in their mouth before it hit the windshield.

One thing that works great is to wash your windows when you park it the night before. That will leave your windows clean, a fresh coat of washer fluid on the windows, and some fresh washer fluid in the squirters.

I'm not sure what helps the most, but it does help. Works especially good when it is snowing and my window is warm, and you know it will melt and then freeze when the window cools.

So I live in Alaska and I know our temps are a little more extreme than yours but definitely go with the block heater. It allows the truck to warm up quicker which in turn defrosts your windshield quicker. I have an 03 screw 5.4 and it took me about 30 mins (plus antifreeze shower) to install mine. Since you are there put a oil pan heater pad on to.
