Truck wont start

Ok so the other day leaving work my truck wouldnt turn over for any thing. We tried to jump start it still didnt work. I have replaced the battery and starter so far and still wont turn over..just kinda has a click when I turn the key. I have checked my fuses none of them are blown..All my gauges and everything works excepts the radio..and when I take out the fuse in the #15 location inside the cab the raido will then work until I put the fuse back in and turn the key on...I have no idea what can be wrong with the truck..Please help if you have ANY idea! I need to get this truck running so I dont have to drive my mustang to work every day

Short the small post to the big post on the firewall starter relay if the starter engages replace the relay. If it doesn't it could be connections or a bad ignition switch(very unlikely)

My starter relay is on my starter, I couldnt find one on the firewall. But I did do that before and replaced the relay and still wouldnt work...But the truck will fire when I ground it out that way.

For 97-00 F150, hope this helps. From Alldata tsb 01-21-8:
ISSUE

Some vehicles may exhibit a no crank, no start condition. This may be caused by corrosion of the starter cable B+ terminal at the starter solenoid due to a reaction between dissimilar metals (steel nut used to attach the battery cable to a brass stud on the starter).

ACTION

Whenever the starter or harness is replaced, the new brass/tin plated nut (W706414-S413) replaces the old service steel nut. Follow the appropriate model year Workshop Manual for harness and starter replacement procedures.

NOTE IF CORROSION HAS DAMAGED THE STARTER CABLE END (CRACKED, ERODED METAL), THE APPROVED PROCEDURE IS TO REPLACE THE HARNESS. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REPLACE THE STARTER CABLE EYELET.

Have you had the cruise control recall done? I dunno about your 99, but fuse #15 in my 03 protects the stoplight switch, cruise, GEM, and brake shift interlock.

Yes that what the fuse protects on mine also. But Im not sure if it has been done or not? On my previous truck it wasnt done when I bought it and they sent me a letter saying it needed to be done once the title was transfered into my name but I havent gotten a letter from Ford notifying me for this truck?

To check your cruise, go up to the dealer and ask them to run a vin check to see i the recall was done. It's free, so why not?

edit: sorry lol, I guess you can't get it up there if you can't start it

Alarm system with starter disable? My brother had a problem with his jump starting when the alarm was on. Just had to hit the key fob unlock.

Sounds like you got advice from a chevy guy. Fords have a cylinoid on the starter and a relay om the fire wall. My 71 Mach I has ome and so does my 99 truck. I've done the same thing MORE then once. Now I have it locked in my head.. the starter IS NOT the problem.

Well, I've been chasing the same problem now. I put 13" bars on, installed all new cables and the front brake does activate the stop lights.
