I have a 97 f150 with 125,000 miles. STill runs like a champ, but I went from my home to the bank(10 min drive) it was fine after i pulled out of the teller lane, i hit the gas barely got any response, then I pulled into the parking lot, noticed a Check Engine light was on, also a Oil light that is on the top left, kinda looks like a oil dropping on a gauge in wavy water.

I dont have a manual with this truck, I checked the oil, and its to the Max, the oil pressure is in the middle.

I left it in the parking lot, in case something majorly would happen, dont want to cause an accident especially when its raining.

Does anyone have any ideas?

 

Sounds like the oil pressure light. Here is a link for the owners manual….not that it’s much help but at least you can see which light it is.

Not sure on the light, but you can download a manual in PDF format from www.motorcraftservice.com. In the owners manual section.

 

went to pick it up from the parking lot i left it, the oil pressure light didnt come on, but the Check Engine light was still on. It ran fine, so i dont know why the oil pressure light came on one time but not another time.

 

throw a code reader on it and see what codes come up
