Loose cat heat shield

my left pre cat heat shield has been loose for a while, but also sounds hollow when i hit it with a rubber mallet compared to the other one, so it might be blown out. Anybody know if Ford has TSB out for trucks under a certain mileage and year with the heat shield getting loose?

if you just want to fix the heat shield you can get a large worm clamp/hose clamp and put it on there and it should fix the shield rattling

i already figured it out. there is a federal mandate that every vehicle 8 yrs or younger and under 80k miles has a warranty on cats. and i believe california is more. so ill have ford fix it.

Actually I think California is less - 7/70. Also, I believe the vehicle actually has to fail a smog check for warranty coverage on cats.
