going nuts

I have a 97 F150 with the 5.4 getting a misfire in cylinder#7 and find out there is a retaining ring from a plug wrench jammed in there o i cant change the plug HELP i can't get it out any good idea's???????

A pre-bent pic would probably hook it. The insert is either rubber or foam.

Like those cheap little "Kit" sets you can pick up at the auto supply. You might be able to sharpen the end of a coat hanger, then bend to form a hook. - Get the idea?

You might not even need to change the plug (other then the fact it might be fouled now) I think Jbrew has the right Idea.

Yea, but he should get it out of there, - that insert (if that is indeed what he's talking about),- it might be preventing contact.

I agree, could have other ignition problems tho.

Nope no other issues and ye it it rubber thanks... i have tried the coat hanger trick but now going to try a thin wooden dowel with a screw in the end....i have had the ignition system checked twice all was well except this 1 problem lol
i realy hope this works tried the pick and could not reach the rubber ring

If that doesn't work. - Yea, if it's the pics short, a pair of needle nose vise grips might give you the extra length needed. Clamp those down on the pic maybe.

Hell, maybe a fishing hook? A small one , like for Bluegill lol. Tape it down to something and go fishing.

A long pair of hemostats might work. You have an air compressor? Blow it out.
