2003 f150 4x4 not working

2003 f150 4x4 not working
Please help!!!! I have a floor shifter for my transfer case not a button.. It shifts in 4x4 easily and the idiot light comes on but the hubs are not locked.. I checked all the fuses. All are good.. What now??? Joe
