3M and suntek are the only brands worth buying really.

I know your question wasn't if you should do this or have someone do this, but IMO it is better to hire the services of a tinting installer. Like a lot of things it seems simple, but it takes a 'touch'. It sounds like you have never done this. Chances are that by the time you get it right you will wish you had had someone else do it.

+1
i've tinted my windows on my vehicles since i 1st started driving back in 1990

but it took me a little while to get the hang of it. for a while, i was getting good enough where i thought about doing it on the side to try to make a little extra cash, just charging friends & getting business by word of mouth. but i can think back to the 1st time i did it....it was a little frustrating.....and i ended up needing more tint to redo it, lol.

Agree 100% about just paying a professional to do it. However, it is neat to learn about the custom fit pieces, that right there is half the battle!! I attempted to tint the windows in my Trans Am in high school... BIG mistake , especially on the hatch back. TONS of bubbles....

In the long run you will be better off getting them done professionally and they are covered with a Lifetime warranty ect. I just had my fronts done about a month ago $70 total and I'm in the Denver area. Usually if you go illegal they want you to pay cash. I had some other place quote me 130 so just keep looking.

Thumbs up

A local tint shop did mine 2 years ago for $150 plus tax.Its 8% all around with 5% over the 8% back glass. The shop has a machine that laser cuts the tint to the vehicles window specs.Solar Guard with lifetime warranty! Leave it to the pros!
