1ton f150 with cummins
1ton f150 with cummins
i was recently looking at farmboy fab and was wondering how much the solid axle conversion would cost total with steering and the 4.5 lift and the how much the cummins conversion would cost and parts needed for both thanks
It depends on how cheap you can get the parts and there are alot of different configurations with both. Depends on what a Axles or motor you get, if you do the work yourself or not. But the sas can cost up to 10k I know or as little as a couple grand.
Why would you go through all the $$$ or trouble of a SAS for 4.5" of lift?
It sounds to me like you read somewhere about awesome things that other people have done but don't really have comprehension of what's required to achieve these things Or the means. ($$$) My money, which has let me down before, says you are under 21 and this is your first or second vehicle and you know little about mechanics in general. You ask questions like these because you are interested, but have no real Intention of tackling these Major modifications. I'm not trying to be rude to you, but questions like these are just hypotheticals in most cases, especially from members with very few posts. They clutter up the board and are generally a waste of time to try and answer because the answer won't lead to any Construction!

One million dollars!
Realistically, probably in the $6500-10,000 range for a daily driveable, safe 1-ton.
Cummins, probably $3000-5000 plus the cost of the motor, trans, t-case.
I spent $6700 on my solid axle swap originally (made a lot of changes), and around $1000 total for the cummins conversion (motor, trans, t-case all free). I tend to not build my own truck as detailed as I would a customer's.
