Battery Question

Yesterday my battery died.. or so i thought. I got in the truck in the morning and turned the key and it clicked but didnt start and i thought i just didnt turn it all the way or didnt have the clutch in all the way so turned the key again and it started. went to home depot and when got out it wouldnt start. so the first person i found to get a jump from had a small dodge car and couldnt get the job done. found another f-150 and started right up so i drove over to the local autozone. when i got there after turning it off it wouldnt start again. wouldnt even try to start. autozone tested my battery and it tested good? but still wasnt trying to start. they hooked it up to an old but not dead battery and it tried to start. so i went ahead and bought a new optima yellow top and it works fine now.

My question is, is there some underlying issue i should be worried about? the truck is a 98 with a rebuilt 4.2 with less than 20K on it.

any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Well it sounds like it was just a batt but you also could have a bad conniction issue or a starter going out. My inlaws just dealt with two very strange batt issues.
