2001 F150 Fuel cap question

Hi to all,
I recently aquired a another F150, a 2001.
I have a question about the gas cap? Does the cap have multiple "clicks" when locking, or a single "click"? I have a "check engine light" and want be exclude the gas cap. I replaced it with a Stant cap and just wanted to confirm that this is correct.
Thanks,
Steve

I have a 2002 and I usually click mine 2-3 times. It might be worth it to take your truck to an autozone or something similar to get your codes read and them post them back here.

Edit: Actually it might be my car that is 2-3 clicks, I'm not totally sure about my truck right now as I don't drive it as much. Still, I would get your codes read to get a starting point of what the issue might be.

I wouldn't consider it a "click." It's more of a "clunk." After the cap is fitted, turn it about 1/8 turn until it stops (one "clunk").

dpfe sensor

Hi to all,
I finally replaced the dpfe sensor. How long does it take for the ecm to clear the "service engine soon" light, providing the sensor was the problem?
Thanks, Steve
