Noisy Brake Pedal?

Ok so I have a creaking noisy brake pedal. This is inside the cab when I gently push the brakes I hear a low pitched creak from up underneath the pedal. Someone told me to replace the booster. Any thoughts?

Crawl up under there and spray the pedal linkage with WD-40.

I had a creaky one as well. Took it to my mechanic and he told me that it was actually the bushing that goes from in the can to past the firewall. Does your's only do it sometimes? Either way, DO NOT spray WD 40 or any other type of lubricant into the rubber bushing. It will erode away the bushing and lubricant is already there. My mechanic told me it would be a PITA to make it stop (meanign have to change basically the entire assembly. So I'd just deal with it. Mine has currently stopped.

If it's a rubber bushing, silicone spray would be safe.

I have a periodically creaky one as well. Been doing it for probably a year and a half now with no related issues so there is probably no need to mess with it unless you want to.

Same here, periodically does it as well, white lithium grease would probably work too, to lube it...just haven't done it to mine yet. Most of the time just ignore or turn the music louder

I had to put a vacuum booster on one recently. The was a black trim cover(for a lack of a better word to call it), but it came apart when I started pulling on it. It was old and rotten. It was a large almost square piece that was held in place by the ends of the studs sticking out(the ones that hold the booster in place). There is nothing there a little lube would hurt. It could be the pivot squeaking, and not the push rod.
