I think it is. you can change things like tire size to fix your speedo, change gear shifts for better gas milage, better accel, gives you more options, and i noticed that I can pull more and less strain. just seems to run better. do it. but look for good deals.

My absolute favorite purchase for my truck. The power increase was very nice, and it made the truck so much more responsive. I love having the display. I have an FX4 so I don't have the message center to display my MPG, and I like to keep track of it. The Edge made it a lot easier to do that. The Edge also increase my MPG, and has since paid for itself. I bought it back when gas was 4 dollars a gallon, so it didn't take long to pay for itself. I would recommend one to anyone.

Well worth it IMO... I have the EDGE and love it. If I ever get another f150, I will definately run a programmer with it.

A tuner is the single best mod you can make for your truck. If I had to give mods back, it would be the very last one I would give up. Yes, the Edge is great, if canned tunes will be all it takes to make you happy. I ran the Edge for over 30,000 miles and thought I was happy. I then upgraded to the Gryphon custom tunes and for me, that is the way to go. I am coming up on 30,000 miles with the custom tune. If my tuner died today, I would immediatly order a Gryphon from PHP.

Go for it

The Edge is excellent as far as canned tunes go. I had one for my '97 4.6L F-150 and couldn't say enough good things about it. The pod it comes with is great too; it blends in quite nicely with the dash, especially if you paint it to match. You can also customize the backlight colors by adjusting RGB values, view and clear codes, adjust speedometer for tire size, ect... The only reason I got rid of mine is because I slapped on a Procharger and need a custom tune to go with the other mods I'm doing. If your truck is (mostly) stock under the hood, its a great value. Go for it, you won't be disappointed.
