finally installed explorer overhead console in f150

well today i finally made the jump and put the explorer overhead console in my truck today. i used the explorers mounting bracket and modified it to fit, i didnt even take the headliner down, it is not wired yet ,but will be on my next day off. there is a small opening in the frony yhat i will have to cover up also.

i plan on replacing the visors with shorter ones

hear is the modified exp. bracket. i had toct some extra metal off in a few places. the small rectangle opening at the front that housed the sunvisor bracket was the perfect size to have the exp. bracket tab to go into, now on to wiring...

i wired the power to the temp and compass to the power that goes to the radio. i wired ground to a metal braket under th dash. then i wired the map lights directly to the battery. lastly wired the temp sensor up and located it between the grill and bumper

That is such a skinny console! At least compared to mine.

Good job on the install though! You should do a write-up on how to install it in case someone else has it planned.

Anyone know of an overhead console that would fit on a '95 Mustang?
