starting up truck

when starting up the truck (03, doesnt matter if its cold start or warm) all the dials on the dash go all the way down (speedo goes to 100mph, rpms all the way to redline, etc)..i hate the sound of it and was wondering if anyone else experiences it?

All the gauges in my '99 began to peg on startup when I needed a new battery.

Installed new battery and no more peg.

when the dials go from peg to peg, the computer is reseting itself. some cars always do it, which i think is pretty cool when they do it. you will also see it when ever you disconnect the battery and hook it up and again, then turn the key on.. new batt. should work.

i think it looks cool, but the sound it makes counteracts the "coolness" haha. im headin over to get a duralast battery for 75 bucks. consumer reports rates in number 2..im lookin forward to not hearing the noise anymore. thanks fellas
